Bigjigs Toys Rainbow Counting Abacus

A modern take on the abacus, in ten bright colours. Each colourful arch holds one more bead than the last, so children can see numbers grow from one to ten.

The cards along the back show simple adding and taking away sums to work out, so it's a lovely way into early maths at the kitchen table, with beads to slide and count rather than numbers on a page.

Why parents love it

• Ten colour-coded arches that build from 1 to 10
• Sums cards for adding and taking away
• Builds counting, problem solving and patience
• Moving the beads helps hand-eye coordination
